1.3 Applicability to Payments

This Privacy Policy also applies to Payment Services provided by WohnFem as outlined in the Payments Terms of Service. When using Payment Services, you will provide information to one or more WohnFem Payments entities, which act as Data Controllers (the “Payments Data Controller”).

  • Account Information: When you create a WohnFem account, we collect your name, email address, and date of birth.
  • Profile Information: If you choose to use certain features (like creating a listing), we may ask for additional details like address, and profile picture.
  • Identity Verification: To maintain a safe community, we may ask for images of your government-issued ID, passport, or other authentication details.
  • Payment Information: Certain features require financial details (e.g., bank account or credit card) to process payments via WohnFem Payments.
  • Communication with WohnFem: We collect information when you communicate with other members or us.
2.2 Additional Information You Choose to Give
  • Optional Profile Details: You can add more details to your profile (like preferred language, city, and personal description), which may be publicly visible.
  • Contacts: You may import your address book to invite others to join WohnFem.
  • Other Information: You can provide more information by filling out forms, responding to surveys, posting on communities, or sharing experiences.
2.3 Information Collected for Payment Services
  • Payment Details: To use payment services, you may be asked for financial information like your bank account, credit card, or PayPal account details.

Provide, Improve, and Develop the WohnFem Platform. We may use the personal information to provide, improve, and develop the WohnFem Platform such as to:

  • enable you to communicate with other Members,
  • operate, protect, improve, and optimize the WohnFem Platform and experience, such as by performing analytics and conducting research,
  • provide customer service,
  • send you service or support messages, updates, security alerts, and account notifications,
  • if you provide us with your contacts’ information, we may process this information: (i) to facilitate your referral invitations, (ii) send your requests for references, (iii) for fraud detection and prevention, and (iv) for any purpose you authorize at the time of collection,
  • to operate, protect, improve, and optimize the WohnFem Platform,
  • enable your use of our enterprise products.

For your safety and to enhance your experience on WohnFem, we may review, scan, or analyze communications sent through our platform, including messages between members. This is done to prevent fraud, ensure compliance with our terms, and improve our services. Here’s how we approach it:

  • Fraud Prevention & Security: We may review messages to detect suspicious activity, such as attempts to exchange personal contact information outside the platform or messages that may violate our community guidelines.
  • Service Improvements: We use automated tools to analyze communication patterns to enhance platform functionalities. In some cases, manual review may occur, such as in situations requiring customer support or fraud investigation.

Please note that we do not analyze your communications for third-party marketing purposes, nor do we sell reviews or analyses of your conversations.

The WohnFem platform may include features or services provided by third-party partners, such as payment gateways, map services, or other tools. Some key examples include:

  • Payment Processing: We may use secure third-party payment processors to handle transactions, such as rent payments or membership fees.
  • Location & Mapping Services: For location-based services (e.g., Google Maps/Earth), your interactions are subject to the privacy policies of those third-party services.

You can view, update, or correct your personal details anytime by logging into your WohnFem account and navigating to your profile settings. If you've connected your account with third-party services like Facebook or Google, you can change those settings through your WohnFem account.

6.2 Correcting Information

If any personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to correct it. While many updates can be made through your profile settings, please reach out to us directly if you need help correcting specific details.

6.3 Data Access & Transfer

Depending on where you’re located, you may have the right to request a copy of your personal data or ask us to transfer it to another platform. We aim to make this process easy for you—just reach out to us to make a request.

6.4 Retain & Delete Data

We generally retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. However, if you'd like to delete your WohnFem account and all associated data, you can make a deletion request in your settings. Remember:

  • Shared Information: Any content shared publicly (like community posts) may still be visible after account deletion, but will no longer be associated with your identity.
  • Legal Compliance: Some data may be retained for tax, legal, or compliance purposes.
6.5 Limit or Withdraw Your Consent

If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent for us to process your data (such as for marketing purposes), you can do so by updating your account settings or contacting us directly. However, please note that withdrawing consent may limit certain features or functionality on the platform.
